The Raggy Charters Fleet
My China - Our 35-foot/11m catamaran able to carry 20 pasengers plus 3 crew. My China was built in 2018 to assist with our Shark Cage Diving and Whale Watching Cruises in Algoa Bay, Port Elizabeth. Read more about the Launch of My China
Winkle - Our 28-foot catamaran able to carry 10 passengers plus 2 crew. Winkle was built in 2011 to help us with our vital penguin research we have been carrying out in Algoa Bay since 2008. Our research in to the decline of the african penguin has proven the cause to be overfishing of sardine and anchovie populations, which can be monitored with this research vessel. It is also our designated whale watching vessel, with which we can get 50 metres away from the ocean's giants!
My Bru - With the nationwide lockdown having stopped us from running any cruises we had to busy ourselves with our projects. One such project was the construction and launch of a new boat. This new addition to our fleet is specifically designed for spending longer days at sea. The comfort and spaciousness of this boat will allow us and our guests to explore the far reaches of Algoa Bay with the utmost safety and comfort. Shortly after the end of lockdown we launched this new 35-foot/11m catamaran and with it, exciting new tour opportunities. As usual the Butt-Cat team has exceeded our expectations in the design and construction of this new vessel. This vessel is be suitable for both Whale Watching and White Shark Cage Diving.
All Raggy Charters' boats are SAMSA certified and were specifically designed with the Eastern Cape ocean conditions in mind, to make them as comfortable as possible for our guests!
