A first time working with Connected Planet and REST Recycling for us. So wonderful to get like minded people together to educate our youth. A big thank you to Connected Planet for very kindly donating towards our days activity.

The day started with a beach clean-up organised by REST Recycling at Pollock Beach, a snack after the hard work and then the group headed to the Nelson Mandela Bay Yacht Club to enjoy a fun and interesting afternoon.

Half the group enjoyed a talk by Purity Khosa, head marine guide of Raggy Charters, on the marine life and the importance the of conservation of Algoa Bay and all it has to offer.   A very big thank you to the Nelson Mandela Bay Yacht Club for the use of their facilities.

The rest of the group enjoyed a cruise with Jake, Skipper and Marine Guide.  Assisted by our NMU WIL Students Jess and Thuba. Much laughter and fun had by all. A new experience and happy memory created. The groups then swapped so all could enjoy both activities. We hope the scholars enjoyed the day and took home happy memories and many things they did not before about Algoa Bay.
