Skål International Nelson Mandela Bay 2023 Awards

This award goes to the person we believe has gone the extra mile to promote Skål within his or her sphere. The recipient of this award is selected by the full committee for his or her contribution to the club, the communities, and the environment in which they operate.
Lloyd Edwards, owner and operator of Raggy Charters - Marine-Eco Cruises, is an active member of the Skål Nelson Mandela Bay Club. He continually drives home the importance of marine nature conservation and has involved the club at every opportunity, be it to participate in the annual Welcoming of the Whales expo, the planting of Spekboom, or accompany him on one of his trips out on the Bay. His information sharing and guidance to the club are invaluable in this regard.
Lloyd reached out to various clubs last year while travelling up the West and East coasts during the annual Humpback Whale migration route that ends in Gabon and Kenya. He was invited to address various Skål clubs en route and made valuable contacts, which he attributes to his Skål membership.
He is the worthy recipient of this year’s Front Runner award, proof of the rewards of a symbiotic relationship between Skål and its members. He has therefore become yet another ambassador for not only this club but for Skål International as a whole.
