The Save Our Ocean Fun Day
By Purity Khosa
Friday, 19th November 2021What a beautiful day we had at Brighton beach with the children. Who knew that marine conservation education can be this fun.
Purity, Jake and Olwethu (Wessa Steward) chatted with the children about why Whales and the ocean as a whole is important to our lives, how plastic pollution can harm marine life and what we can do to protect our marine environment. Being able to communicate all this in the children's own language "isiXhosa" made the whole learning experience even more fun for everyone.
Organised by Bophelo Impilo Development Centre, together with KFC , Hydratlantic, Oricol, Sustainable Seas Trust , Mangaliso Environmental Consultancy, Photographer Mr Lindani, and the Algoa Bus Company, the day was a great success.
We are looking forward to more of these collaborations.
